| Canadian Friends Of Akim helped Akim to build a new Social center for people with special needs in Yavne where AKIM is at the moment unable to fulfill the unique and changing needs of the mentally handicapped in the community.
The construction of a Social Center constitutes a quantum leap with respect to answering the needs of people with special needs. Both the physical structure and the services it will provide have been planned at a very high level.
This center will serve the target population living in the local councils of Yavne and its surrounding area.
